Our Team

Dr Daniel Shakespeare (Chiropractor)

After completing a Bachelor of Business degree at Newcastle University, and entering a career in finance, I found myself facing a number of health challenges, for which I was prescribed regular ongoing medication. Seeking another alternative, I commenced chiropractic care, and found those, and a number of other ailments that I had just put down as 'normal', ultimately resolved. I began informal study into the science and philosophy behind chiropractic and immediately fell in love with it. Soon after I left my career in finance to pursue my Doctor of Chiropractic qualification.

Having now witnessed my two little girls grow up under chiropractic care from birth, I have made it my mission to help others enjoy the same level of health and vitality.

Valley Rising was created to serve the community with the highest quality chiropractic care possible, and to educate and empower the masses as to where true health and healing comes from.

Our VISION is a world in which true health through greater connection between life and the human form is self evident, and chiropractic care an imperative from birth.

Valley Rising is not a practice, nor a business... it is a MISSION.

Dr Josh McNamara (Chiropractor)

Having been adjusted since birth, I’ve never known what it’s like to not be under chiropractic care. It wasn’t until years later, after having never suffered from such common disorders like back pain and headaches, that I understood just how important chiropractic care is for a natural development, and just how grateful I was to have received that care.

"The power that made the body heals the body" -  A core principle of chiropractic, and one that just makes sense. I love that chiropractic doesn’t aim to treat any condition or ailment, but rather enables the body to interpret and express life better, via the removal or reduction of vertebral subluxation. This allows the most intelligent organism on our planet, to get well, but more importantly to thrive, which is what everybody deserves.

Being a chiropractor is not a job for me, it’s my telos... my purpose.
Being able to care for someone, to be able to have a positive influence on the quality of their life, is an unmeasurable reward. Empowering people to realise the level of health they can have, but also the life they can have, is what fuels and feeds my passion.
